"Thirteen Reasons Why", by Jay Asher

     What if you did not even have a chance to say everything you wanted to say before you died? "Thirteen Reasons Why",by Jay Asher is a book about teenage girl named Hannah Baker, who leaves 13 tapes behind for 13 different people and her secrets are buried with her. In the book "Thirteen Reasons Why". The main character Hannah sends boxes of tapes to her friends that showed how her mixed feelings that started to build up throughout these tapes.

    First, Hannah Baker is feeling insecure and worthless. Hannah leaves tapes behind for 13 people and her reasons why she committed suicide. For example the first tape she said "If you're listening to this you're one of the reasons why.” "Hannah meant what she did is what she had to do. When Hannah said all this it was super overwhelming to her class mates that were listening to it. Hannah sent these tapes to show what she really felt inside, since it made it difficult for the people who were listening to hear Hannah speak. It made people sick to their stomachs.

   Secondly, Hannah Baker felt empty and unloved. Why? For example there was not that one person to care about anything that Hannah really felt inside. Hannah would want to expect someone to talk to her in her ups and downs. Hannah would not know how to express herself it to her classmates or any friends she may have had. Hannah just kept all her feelings in the whole time,It’s like her feelings were fading back again. Hannah thought it was the best thing to do.

   To conclude, the main character Hannah Baker sends a box of tapes to her friends that showed her mixed feelings. How everything started building up, and changed throughout the whole story. Hannah did not want to expect how things could go wrong. Hannah committed suicide for a deep reason that would always be buried with her. Jay Asher were trying to show the readers how these teenaged lives could end and be like Hannah Bakers. This could teach feature teenagers how to deal with it in the right way. Hannah’s way was not the best choice, theres more right better choices for teenagers.
